FAQ

Key information before your arrival at Errol Park.

When is the wedding?

Saturday the 9th of August, 2025.
Please arrive at 1pm for a 2pm ceremony.

Where is the wedding?

Errol Park, Perthshire, PH2 7RA, Scotland.
The historic estate dates back to the 10th century, and the house (affectionately the ‘big hoose’) was rebuilt in 1875 after a fire. You can visit their website
here.
Errol is a village halfway between the cities of Perth and Dundee, along the River Tay. You can find general directions to the house below, and here it is on
Google Maps.

How do I get to Errol Park?

Dundee to Perth is a 20-minute train.
Glasgow to Perth is a 1.5-hour train.
Edinburgh to Perth is 1.5-hour train.
From Perth, you can take a 21-minute bus (number 39) to Errol - or it’s a 17-minute drive.

If you’re flying or getting the train into Edinburgh, we’d recommend getting the train to Dundee or Perth (as they’re relatively equidistant to the venue), and then getting a taxi or bus. A taxi will cost £20-30.

Local taxi services include: Taybank Taxis, Webster Cabs, A&B Taxis, and Premier Taxis. Uber operates in Dundee and Edinburgh.

There will be a shuttle bus from Dundee to and from the venue, on the 9th August only, with details to follow.

How and when do I RSVP?

You’ll need to RSVP by the 1st June. Details of how to RSVP will be in your paper invitation, received in March 2025.
When you RSVP, you will need to confirm your dinner preferences and let us know if you have any dietary requirements. If you RSVP as attending but can then no longer make the date, please let us know as soon as possible.

Can I bring my partner, child, or pet?

Your invitation will name who the invitees are. If you’re unsure, please reach out and we’ll help clarify.
It’s our hope that our wedding is one big party - where our friends and families can let loose with us! For this reason, we’re asking that there are no young children at our wedding.
Pets are also not allowed, unless your pet is a service animal.
Murie Kennels offers luxury accommodation for dogs nearby.

Where can I stay?

We recommend staying at Malmaison in Dundee City Centre (25-minute drive). Please call the events team on 01382 339316 and quote the code 0808CO to book before the 8th June with a reduced rate.

Errol Park recommends the following places to stay, which work well for group bookings:

The Nest - a two bedroom cottage (2-minute drive or 9-minute walk)

Seasyde House - a listed house that sleeps 12 (9-minute drive)

The Courtyard - four separate apartments within a cottage (9-minute drive)

Milton Farm Lodges - four separate lodges, with hot tubs, sleeping 2 or 6 people each (14-minute drive)

Outfield Farm - 3 double cabins and 3 cottages, some with hot tubs and saunas (17-minute drive)

Inchture Hotel - 8 bedroom family-run hotel (11-minute drive)

There are also plenty of Premier Inns and Travelodges in both Perth and Dundee.

What do I wear?

Cocktail! Think Bridgerton does Studio 54. Prints and bright colours welcome. Don’t wear white - that would just be be silly.

What can I eat and drink?

Expect prosecco and charcuterie, and dinner with wine. Later there will be cake. When you RSVP, please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
There will be a card-only bar onsite, where you can buy extra drinks throughout the afternoon and evening.

Are you accepting gifts?

Gifts are accepted but not encouraged. For many of our friends and family members, this is a destination wedding - it’s the gift of being all together and celebrating that matters most to us.

We don’t have a registry, as we’ve been lucky enough to live with each other (and build up a collection of home essentials) over the years. So, in the style of both Irish and Malaysian weddings, cash donations or ang pao are accepted and will go towards our honeymoon.

I’m staying for longer. What can I get up to?

Scotland is beautiful - you should absolutely stay for longer and get to see it.
